Weaving, Trunk Shows, Yarn, Classes, Yarn Crawl LA

Deborah Jarchow returns to A Stitch In Time to lead another beginning weaving workshop.  In this full-day class, using their own tabletop looms or Deborah's, participants will complete a log cabin scarf.  Her October class was very popular and successful, so call the shop or stop by to sign up right away to secure a place.  Maximum class size is 10 weavers. We only have a few spaces available!

Materials List

250 yards each of two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn that is at least 2-ply and not hairy

2 brown grocery bags

1 tube from inside a paper towel roll,

tapestry needle,

scissors

20 yards of waste yarn (acrylic works best)

Special Notes:

Looms are provided by Deborah but if you have your own loom (at least 8" weaving width), you will also need an 8 dent reed, warping peg, clamps, threading hook, and sley hook. 

The greater the contrast between the two yarn colors, the better!

Last but not least Yarn!!
We have new Skacel Yarn. We have received CoBaSi in new colors and the new weights (worsted and DK) are on the way. We even have the new Multi Colors in CoBaSi.  Also on order but not here yet are new colors of Caribou, Gradient, Reggae Ombre.

I was really impressed with the new IKAT yarn and projects from Prism. The yarn will be here soon and we can learn the technique together!

Yarn Crawl LA is coming!  March 26-29. They are selling the tote bags a little differently this year. If you want a tote you need to call the shop you want to pick it up from and order it. You will pay for it @$10.00+Tax and pick it up from the shop you ordered it from. We need to get a count, so if you want one from A Stitch In Time give us a call. 626-793-5217
